#NYFW
CURRENTLY...
scoping out everything that's gone down the runway at New York Fashion Week and already dreaming of the trends that are going to be popping up in S/S 18!! From fashion to beauty trends and major authenticity on the runway, it's been a season like no other!
Beauty
Graphic eyeliner at Ulla Johnson, bold inner-corner eyeshadow at Chromat, silver hair on KKW, angled pixies and rounded cat-eyes at Alexander Wang - it's all about stepping it up a notch in a fresh + effortless way. While my stylist (and several others in the city!) would love to see me rock a pixie cut, I think I'll be trying the graphic eyeliner look below and leaving the rest to just admire in upcoming editorials!
Fashion
Sheer! Suits! Sassy color play! Feminine florals for Brock Collection, bright takes on gingham and stripes at Adam Selman, soft draping and boldly mixed palettes at Jason Wu, Tom Ford, and Victoria Beckham. The reinvention of classic structures has been amazing! I want that bright orange look from Adam Selman in my closet ASAP!

Favorite moment
Bare pregnant belly strutting down the runway at Eckhaus Latta!!! The realness! The energy! The powerful image of life!! I loved it! When I was pregnant, there was a fashion show I really wanted to participate in and thought it would have been an incredible moment to walk the runway with a bump and push the boundaries of beauty here in tiny, reserved Saskatoon. Unfortunately I was not able to join the fun so I am beyond excited to see - 4 years later - a beautiful baby bump strutting proudly down the runway. I mean, spring is all about new life so what better way to symbolize that than a gloriously pregnant woman?!!
Favorite collection
While I could definitely pick out a few favorite looks from many different collections, I wanted absolutely EVERYTHING that went down the runway at Sies Marjan! O.M.G. I just drool over every detail, drape, and bold use of color. It feels so fresh + fun. I love the the pink and blue striped pattern that's repeated several times throughout the collection, the soft acid yellow and the bright rusty orange looks, the pale lavender pieces, and the playful mix of pastel + pops of color, often all in one outfit. I am 1,000% obsessed!!
What was your favourite SS18 look/collection/moment?? Would love to hear!
